Muradnagar gur markets also recorded a steep rise of up to Rs 200 per quintal in their prices on paucity of stocks.
Marketmen said scarcity of stocks due to less arrivals from manufacturing belts coupled with strong demand from stockists and retailers to meet the ongoing winter season demand, mainly supported the upside in gur prices at Delhi as well as Muzaffarnagar.
In Delhi, gur Chakku, Pedi and Dhayya prices settled higher by Rs 100 each to Rs 2,900-3,000, Rs 3,000-3,100 and Rs 3,200-3,300 per quintal.
Gur Laddoo prices also hardened by Rs 50 to end the day at Rs 2,850-2,950 per quintal.
