Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets were also in a fine shape with prices rising by up to Rs 300 per quintal on increased demand from stockists and retailers amid paucity of stocks.
Marketmen said tight stocks following negligible arrivals from manufacturing belts due to halt in production following rising mercury against robust demand from stockists and retailers, lifted gur prices in Delhi, Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar markets.
In Delhi, gur Pedi and Shakkar prices hardened by Rs 100 each to conclude the day at Rs 3,400-3,500 and Rs 3,700-3,800 per quintal, respectively.
Gur Chakku prices strengthened by Rs 150 to Rs 2,800- 3,100 per quintal.

Robust demand from beer makers pushed up the prices of gur Raskat by Rs 50 to Rs 2,600-2,650 per quintal.
Coming to Muradnagar, gur Pedi and Dhayya prices spurted by Rs 100 each to finish at Rs 3,050-3,125 and Rs 3,100-3,150 per quintal, respectively.

Gur chakku Rs 3,200-3,300, pedi Rs 3,400-3,500, dhayya Rs 3,500-3,600 and shakkar Rs 3,700-3,800.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,050-3,125 and dhayya Rs 3,100- 3,150.
