Gur prices decline on weak demand

Gur prices dropped by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following sluggish demand amid fresh supplies.
On the other hand, Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets enquired unchanged in thin trade.
Marketmen said fresh supplies from manufacturing belts amid sluggish demand due to offseason mainly pulled down gur prices in Delhi.
In Delhi, gur Chakku, Dhayya and Shakkar prices fell by Rs 100 each to end at Rs 3,500-3,600, Rs 3,900-4,000 and Rs 4,000-4,100 per quintal, respectively.
Prices of gur Pedi also eased by Rs 50 to Rs 3,650-3,750 per quintal.
Coming to Muzaffarnagar, trading in gur Raskat took place at Rs 2,650-2,700 following arrival of new stocks in the market.
