Gur (jaggery) prices plunged by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following increased supplies and muted demand.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also revealed a sharp fall of up to Rs 250 per quintal on fresh arrivals amid sluggish demand.

At Muzaffarnagar, gur Chakku and Khurpa tumbled down from Rs 2,450-2,800 and Rs 2,500-2,300 to end at Rs 2,400-2,550 and Rs 2,250-2,300, showing a decline of up to Rs 250 per quintal.
