Gur prices end quiet on some support

The gur (jaggery) prices remained steady at the wholesale market in the national capital today with prices after hovering both ends on small bouts of buying and selling, ended at last levels.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also settled at overnight levels in the absence of necessary buying support.
Marketmen said besides sporadic demand, ample availability of stocks mainly kept gur prices at overnight levels.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 2,800-2,900, pedi Rs 2,900-3,000, dhayya Rs 3,100-3,200 and shakkar Rs 3,300-3,400.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,400-2,450, chakku Rs 2,625- 2,950, khurpa Rs 2,600-2,650 and Ladoo Rs 2,850-2,950.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,600-2650 and dhayya Rs 2,700-2,750.
