Gur prices remain flat in thin trade

Quiet conditions persisted at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today as prices continued to trade in a tight range on lack of worthwhile activity and settled around previous levels.
Marketmen said adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing areas against lack of worthwhile buying activity mainly kept gur prices unchanged.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku 2,500-2,600, pedi 2,650-2,750, dhayya 2,800-2,900 and shakkar 3,000-3,100.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,200-2,250, chakku 2,250-2,500, khurpa 2,200-2,300 and Ladoo 2,400-2,500.
Muradnagar: Pedi 2,400-2,500 and dhayya 2,500-2,550.
