Gur prices remain steady on sporadic demand

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market settled steady in the national capital today with prices after moving both ways on alternate bouts of buying and selling, settled at previous levels.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also displayed a similar trend.
Marketmen said sporadic demand against restricted supplies, mainly kept gur prices unmoved.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,400-3,500, pedi Rs 3,600-3,700, dhayya Rs 3,800-3,900 and shakkar Rs 3,900-4,000.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,600-2,650, chakku Rs 3,050-3,150, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,250-3,300 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175.
