Gur prices remains steady in thin trade

Quiet conditions prevailed at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today as prices by and large after hovering both ways on scattered buying or selling, ended at previous levels.
A similar trend also extended to Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets on little doing.
Marketmen said absence of demand due to off-season along with increased arrivals from manufacturing belts, mainly kept gur prices unaltered.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,800-3,900, pedi Rs 4,000-4100, dhayya Rs 4,100-4,200 and shakkar Rs 4,300-4,400.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 3,300-3,400, chakku Rs 3,550-3,650, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,700-3,800 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175.
