Gur prices settle quiet on small demand

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market settled on a quiet note in the national capital today following restricted arrivals against sporadic demand.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also finished on previous levels in thin trade.
Marketmen said scattered buying support from stockists and retailers along with adequate stocks position, largely kept prices on previous note.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,400-3,500, pedi Rs 3,450-3,550, dhayya Rs 3,600-3,700 and shakkar Rs 3,700-3,800.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,550-2,600, chakku Rs 2,900-3,025, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,025-3,125 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175.
