Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also displayed a firm trend with prices rising by up to Rs 275 per quintal, thanks to brisk buying amid paucity of stocks.
According to marketmen, the rise in gur prices was due to paucity of stocks amid sturdy buying by stockists and retailers.
Apart from higher advices from neighbouring states for the festive season also helped to boost trading sentiments.
At Muzaffarnagar, gur Chakku bounced from Rs 3,175-3,275 to settle at Rs 3,450-3,500 showing a rise up to Rs 275 per quintal.

In Muradnagar, gur pedi prices noted a gain of Rs 150 at Rs 3,700-3,750 per quintal on paucity of stocks.
Gur chakku Rs 3,800-3,900, pedi Rs 4,000-4,100, dhayya Rs 4,000-4,100 and shakkar Rs 4,200-4,300.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,700-3,750 and dhayya N.Q.
