Gur prices held steady at the wholesale gur (jaggery) market in the national capital today owing to lack of worthwhile activity.
However, gur prices in Muzzafarngar and Muradnagar, ended lower on low demand.
Marketmen said absence of worthwhile activity mainly kept gur prices steady at Delhi.
They said, however, sluggish demand due to rising mercury against adequate stocks position mainly kept pressure on gur prices at Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar.
At Muzzafarnagar, gur rasket and laddo eased to Rs 2,300-2,350 and Rs 2,450-2,550 from last close of Rs 2,350-2,400 and Rs 2,450-2,600 per quintal respectively.
Gur pedi and dhayya in Muradngar, also slipped to Rs 2,600-2,650 and Rs 2,700-2,750 from previous levels of Rs 2,650-2,700 and Rs 2,800-2,850 per quintal respectively.
