Marketmen said restricted supply from manufacturing areas sparked by heavy demand from retailers and stockist, mainly pushed up gur chakku and shakkar prices.
On the other hand, gur Khurpa prices softened by Rs 100 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar gur markets on slackness in demand.
In Delhi, Shakkar prices hardened by Rs 200 to settle at Rs 3,100-3,200 per quintal, while gur Chakku prices rose by Rs 100 at Rs 2,800-2,900 per quintal.
At Muzaffarnagar, prices of gur Khurpa, however, enquired lower by Rs 100 to Rs 2,450-2,500 per quintal.
