Gur prices up on increased buying, less supply

Gur prices hardened by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today following thin supply and improved buying support.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also rose up to Rs 100 per quintal on emergence of buying support.
Marketmen said fall in arrivals from manufacturing areas amid increased buying pushed up gur prices.
In Delhi, sugar pedi prices jumped up by Rs 100 to finish at Rs 2850-2950 per quintal.
At Muzaffarnagar, gur Chakku spurted from Rs 2625-2750 to conclude at Rs 2675-2850 per quintal.
Turning to Muradnagar, there also prices of gur Pedi and Dhayya gained by Rs 50 each to both settle at Rs 2500-2550 per quintal.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,500-2,550, chakku 2,675-2,850, khurpa 2,450-2,500 and Ladoo 2,500-2,600.
Muradnagar: Pedi 2,500-2,550 and dhayya 2,500-2,550.
