Gur remains flat in Delhi, up in Muzzafarnagar

Steady conditions prevailed at the wholesale jaggery market today as prices moved in a tight range on lack of buying support and settled around previous levels.
However, gur prices in Muzzafarnar and Muradnagar moved up on increased demand from stockists against paucity of stocks.
Traders said paucity of stocks against increased demand from stockists mainly pushed up gur prices at MuzzafarNagar and Muradnagar markets.
In Muzzafarnagar, gur raskat and chakku rose by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,950-3,000 and Rs 2,950-3,200 per quintal respectively.
Gur Pedi in Muradnagar, also traded higher by Rs 50 to Rs 3,200-3,250 per quintal.
Following are today's rates per quintal:
Gur chakku 3,400-3,500, pedi 3,500-3,600, dhayya N.A. And shakkar 3,600-3,700.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,950-3,000, chakku 2,950-3,200, khurpa N.A. And Ladoo N.A.
Muradnagar: Pedi 3,200-3,250 and dhayya N.A.
