Dull conditions persisted at the wholesale gur (jaggery) market in the national capital today as prices after moving in a tight range in the absence of worthwhile buying, settled at last closing levels.
Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets too ended at previous levels on sluggish demand.
Marketmen said slackened demand due to off-season amid negligible arrivals mainly kept gur prices unmoved.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,500-3,600, pedi Rs 3,600-3,700, dhayya Rs 3,700-3,800 and shakkar Rs 3,900-4,000.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,650-2,700, chakku Rs 2,950-3,250, khurpa Rs 2,950-3,000 and Ladoo Rs 3,200-3,250.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,150-3,250 and dhayya Rs 3,300-3,350.
