Gur remains steady in Delhi; falls in Muzaffarnagar

Quiet conditions persisted at the wholesale jaggery market today as prices ended at previous levels after moving both ways on selective buying or selling.
On the other hand, gur Chakku and Ladoo prices fell by Rs 50 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar on increased supplies of new gur in the market.
Marketmen said persistent arrivals from manufacturing areas mainly pulled down gur chakku and laddo prices in Muzaffarnagar.
In Muzaffarnagar, gur Chakkku prices were down by Rs 50 to settle at Rs 2,200-2,450 per quintal.
Similarly, ladoo prices looked down by Rs 50 to Rs 2,300-2,500 per quintal.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 2,500-2,600, pedi Rs 2,500-2,600, dhayya Rs 2,700-2,800 and shakkar Rs 2,800-2,900.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,400-2,500, chakku Rs 2,200-2,450, khurpa Rs 2,200-2,300 and Ladoo Rs 2,300-2,500.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,200-2,300 and dhayya Rs 2,250-2,300.
