Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also depicted a similar trend on increased buying by stockists.
Marketmen said besides pick up in demand from retailers due to ongoing festive season, tight stocks position on fall in arrivals from growing regions, mainly led an uptrend trend in gur prices.
At Delhi, gur chakku shot up by Rs 3,800-3,900 per quintal.
Gur khurpa and ladoo too finished higher at Rs 3,500- 3,550 and Rs 3,800-3,850 as compared to previous close of Rs 3,400-3,450 and Rs 3,750-3,800 per quintal.

In line with overall trend, gur pedi and dhayya in Muradnagar mandi,quoted higher at Rs 3,500-3,600 and Rs 3,600 -3,650 instead of Rs 3,400-3,550 and Rs 3,550-3,600 per quintal respectively.

Gur chakku Rs 3,800-3,900, pedi Rs 3,800-3,900, dhayya Rs 3,900-4,000 and shakkar Rs 4,000-4,100.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,500-3,600 and dhayya Rs 3,600- 3,650.
