Gur steady in Delhi; drops in Muzaffarnagar, Muradnagar

Gur prices settled at previous level at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market here today, largely on scattered buying support.
However, Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets witnessed a drop of up to Rs 100 per quintal on weak demand amid fresh supplies.
Marketmen said increased supply of cold storaged gur coupled with weak demand from retailers and stockists, mainly pulled down the prices in Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar markets.
In Muzaffarnagar, gur Chakku prices enquired lower by Rs 100 to finish at Rs 2,400-2,600 per quintal.
In Muradnagar , prices of gur pedi softened by Rs 50 to Rs 2,550-2,600 per quintal.
