Khalsa remained hospitalised for five days after his health deteriorated.
Deputy Commissioner Mandeep Singh Brar, Sub Divisional Magistrate Minakshi Goel along with Kulwant Singh Baat, a senior member of DSGMC today held a meeting with Khalsa and persuaded him to end his fast.
The activist's son, Jujhar Singh, offered him a glass of juice at the hospital, ending his two-month long fast.
Khalsa had been seeking the release of seven Sikh prisoners, including those convicted for the assassination of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh in 1995 and the one jailed in connection with the September 1993 New Delhi bomb blasts, in which nine persons were killed and 25 others were injured.
