Gurdaspur attack:CM visits injured people, give relief cheques

Expressing solidarity with the victims of the Dina Nagar terror attack, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today said that the state would ever remain indebted to the brave hearts who have attained martyrdom or were injured in the attack.
Interacting with the injured persons who were undergoing treatment at local Guru Nanak and Amandeep Hospital in the city, the Chief Minister reiterated State government's firm commitment to extend all possible help to all these courageous people, who didn't even bothered about their life while defending country's unity and integrity.
He said that Punjab government would leave no stone unturned to help them in this hour.

The Chief Minister said that Punjab had always championed the cause of peace, communal harmony and brotherhood due to the heroic deeds of such valiant people.
The Chief Minister said that the state Cabinet has recently decided that Rs 3 lakh would be given to the officials of the Punjab Police and Home Guards injured in the terror attack besides giving them the best medical treatment free of cost.
He said that the Cabinet has also gave approval to relax the existing relief norms under its policy thereby giving Rs 5 lakh to the next of kin of dead civilians and Rs 3 lakh to the injured.

The CM said, besides this the state government is bearing the entire expenditure on the treatment of the injured in both the government and private hospitals.
Badal also handed over the cheque of Rs 21 lakh to the seven injured undergoing treatment at these hospitals.
