The process to set up GDA will begin on November 1, the day Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the year-long celebrations of Haryana's Golden Jubilee, he said.
"Gurgaon has been brought on the global map and is known by different names like millennium city, global city, Smart City..We have a plan for its integrated development," he said.
Union Road Transport and Highways Minister, Nitin Gadkari will soon launch a project for construction of underpasses or flyovers at IFFCO Chowk to ease traffic congestion on National Highway number eight connecting Delhi and Gurgaon, Signature Tower and Rajiv Chowk in Gurgaon, Khattar said.
Clamour had been growing for setting up of GDA, and Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh, who is also the local MP, had been supportive of it. Haryana minister Rao Narbir Singh had stressed on the need for Gurgaon Development Authority, in view the rapid urbanisation in the NCR.

He also claimed that Haryana has jumped from 14th to seventh place in ease of doing business and the target is to make it reach fifth spot in the next few months.
A start-up warehouse incubation centre would also be made functional in Gurgaon. All hindrances in rapid development of Gurgaon are being removed, Khattar said.
Connectivity with Delhi is being improved. The Greater Southern Peripheral Road is being extended and has been declared as National Highway. The flyover on Manesar and Bilaspur crossings and repair of roads will be over by year end, he said.

Khattar claimed that 80 per cent of the fortune 500 companies have their offices in Gurgaon and it is a better place for start-ups.
Speaking after inaugurating the office of an online hotel aggregator, he emphasised on steps taken by the state government for increasing employment opportunities.
Khattar said Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be the chief guest for the Haryana Day programme organised here to mark the completion of 50 years of formation of Haryana as a separate state.
He said in the past 22 months, his government's focus has been on bringing transparency in governance and zero tolerance of corruption.
He said an IT-based system have been evolved for implementation of government schemes which has brought transparency.
Khattar said the repair of roads in Gurgaon will be taken up after September 15 and it will be completed by end of this year.
