Gurgaon Police Commissioner Alok Mittal has been tested positive for dengue and admitted to a private hospital here.
"Mittal was admitted to the hospital on Sunday night and at present his condition is serious but not critical," Chief Medical Officer of Gurgaon Pushpa Bishnoi told PTI today.
Mittal's blood platelet count stands at 30,000 per micro litre today against the normal of 1,50,000 to 4,00,00, Bishnoi said, adding the count was 50,000 per micro litre on Monday.
"He is being kept under observation," she added.
The private hospital authorities, however, refused to share any detail about the Police Commissioner's condition.
