Gurkirat wins Royal Juniors Cup

Local lad Gurkirat Singh shot a six-over par 78 for a nine-over 153 to clinch the Tata Steel East Zone Sub Junior & Feeder Tour 2014, his second title at the RCGC.
The overnight leader who started the day with a two-stroke lead began steadily with two straight pars before dropping three consecutive strokes to go three-over for the day and six-over for the week.
Another dropped stroke on the par four seventh hole saved pars on the next two holes to limit the damage and go out four over for the day.
With no real challenge, he went all out for birdies and hit six on the go from the 10th to the 15th holes to seal a second title at this venue.

Udayjit Bhalotia finished second four strokes behind at 13-over par 157, followed by Category B winner Hassan Rahman Khandokar, who also brought in the best card of four-over par 76 for the day, a further stroke behind.
Adreeja Ghosh shot an identical 105 on both days to win the Category A title in the girls section.
