Gurpreet topped the qualifying stage with an aggregate of 579 and then went on to shoot a score of 35 in the six-man final at the Balewadi Sports Complex here.
Teammate Neeraj Kumar, who shot 29, took the silver while another AMU man and former Olympic silver medalist Vijay Kumar bagged the bronze with a score of 24.
Gurpreet bagged his second gold when he, Vijesh Kumar and Rajesh Kumar won the team gold in the event with a combined score of 1699. Haryana won the silver with 1690 while the bronze went to Maharashtra who totaled 1672.
Earlier, Rushiraj was the last and sixth man to qualify for the finals with a score of 554.
Aadeithyaa Johal of Haryana, who topped qualification with a score of 565 and eventually finished fourth in the individual finals, kept his tryst with gold when he, Anish and Harsh Beniwal helped his state claim the team gold in the event with a combined effort of 1658.
