Vora, at a meeting at the Raj Bhavan here, directed officers to put in place all required arrangements for the yatra within the scheduled time-frame.
Amarnath Yatra will begin this year on June 25 and culminate on August two, the day Raksha Bandhan festival will be celebrated. The registeration for the pilgrimage will begin on May 7.
Deputy Commissioners of Ganderbal and Anantnag briefed the Governor, also chairman of the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, about the status of snow on Baltal and Chandanwari routes.
They also told Vohra that efforts were on to clear the tracks of frozen snow, officials said.
The Governor directed concerned authorities to complete all the required action on the ground timely for successful conduct of the pilgrimage. PTI AB RKC
