GVK EMRI signs pact with NTRI Australia to improve trauma care

GVK EMRI, an integrated emergency services provider, has signed an initial pact with National Trauma Research Institute of Australia to strengthen trauma care in India.
This is part of Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott's visit here, GVK said in a statement.
This partnership further enhances an established network of emergency transport services managed by GVK EMRI. The expertise of NTRI Australia brings an opportunity to develop regional trauma systems that provide injured people with lifesaving care at the roadside, rapid transport and timely treatment of their injuries.
The collaboration of the two entities is for the purpose of developing model regional trauma systems linking ambulance and hospital services, developing protocols to guide treatment and transport of patients, providing training in trauma care and emergency system leadership.

Indian farm experts to be trained in Israel next week * A 10-day training programme on managing fruits nursery for Indian agriculture field experts is being organised in Israel from next week.

The programme to begin from September 8 is organised by Israel's agency MASHAV and the Center for International Agricultural Development Cooperation (CINADO), an official statement said.
About 14 government experts and professionals from Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Haryana, Punjab, Odisha, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan will participate in it.
These participants will be trained in all aspects of fruit nursery establishment and production. They will be taught about skills required for planning, implementation and monitoring of nurseries.
The training is part of the Indo-Israeli Agriculture Cooperation Project, signed between the two countries in 2008. Within this framework, Israel shares best practices and knowhow, and provides professional training programs conducted both in Israel and India.

IPF to set up knowledge centre in Howrah * The Indian Plastics Federation (IPF), the apex body of plastics manufacturers, is setting up a knowledge centre in the poly park located in Howrah in West Bengal.
"The IPF is coming up with a state-of-the-art knowledge centre within the 50-acre poly park in Howrah on 1.02 acres of land at a cost of Rs 25 crore," Pradip Nayyar, President of IPF said.
This centre would help in developing skilled manpower required by the plastics manufacturers in the region, he said at the launch of 'IndPlas 2015' exhibition here today.
About the exhibition, to be held in November next year, he said 500 exhibitors, 400 domestic and 100 from the overseas, were expected to participate in the event.
