Shelton said he was so glad that he could find a new love in Stefani, reported Ace Showbiz.
"It's not something anybody could've seen coming besides God, I guess, because it doesn't look like it would make sense," he said.
"All I can tell you is that it does. It just makes the most perfect sense for us and where we're at in our lives."
Shelton, 39, said that his relationship with the mother of three was something that he could never imagine and it saved his life.
Shelton and Stefani, 46, started dating back in November after the former split from Miranda Lambert and the latter called it quits with Gavin Rossdale.
Since then they have spent time together and collaborated on song called "Go Ahead and Break My Heart".
