Jammu: The state government today said it was fully equipped to deal with the threat of H1N1 influenza and has already activated men and machinery to deal with any eventuality. A city hospital had yesterday reported two suspected cases of Swine Flu, however, the Minister of State for Health Shabir Khan said that one of the reports was negative while they were awaiting the details of the other one. "We are fully prepared to deal with the threat of the Swine Flu. Two to three cases had come to our notice and we had sent their specimen to New Delhi for confirmation. One of the reports, which we received today has turned out to be negative," Khan said during his visit to the newly set up Swine Flu centre at Bhagwati Nagar here. Meanwhile, Director Health Services Jammu Madhu Khullar said that they have put in place the necessary set-up to deal with the infection. ==================== POK-NATIONAL Poonch: A 75-year-old POK national died here today due to illness, officials said. Mohammad Sidque, a resident of Rawalpindi in POK, died after long illness at the residence of his younger brother Bagh Hussain in Chitro village in the border district today. Sidque had come on 15-days permit in December 2011 and was staying with his brother after the expiry of the permit duration due to stay from the state High Court. He had moved to the Court claiming, he was alone in POK and should be allowed to stay with his brother in Poonch.
