Pakistan all-rounder Muhammad Hafeez is all set to undergo a reassessment test on his bowling action on April 9 in Chennai to revive his international career.
Hafeez's bowling action was reported during the first Test match between Pakistan and New Zealand in Dubai last November.
The International Cricket Council later suspended him from bowling in international cricket because of his illegal action, which was tested independently at the National Cricket Performance Centre in Loughborough United Kingdom in November, 2014.
"Since then Hafeez has done a lot of remedial work on his action and is confident he is ready for the ICC test now," a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official said.
The new national selection committee is due to announce the Pakistan touring squad for Bangladesh by next week and a PCB official said the selectors wanted to see how well Hafeez had recovered from his fitness problem that saw him returning home from New Zealand before the start of the World Cup.
"The selectors can pick him purely as an opening batsman and reports off his bowling assessment test with the ICC should also be available before or during the one-day series in Bangladesh which begins from April 17," the official added.
