The hailstorm caused damage to wheat crop in mid hills, stone fruits in temperate zone and apple crop which is in flowering stage in mid and lower hills.
Jogindernagar and Saloni received 9 mm of rains, followed by Nahan and Chamba 7 mm each, Rampur 6 mm, Rohru 4 mm, Baijnath 3 mm, Kahu, Bijahi, Jubbal, Sunni-Bajji and Tissa 2 mm each, and Bajura 1 mm.
There was no significant change in minimum temperatures and Keylong was the coldest at night with a low of 0.4 degree, followed by Kalpa and Manali 5 and 5.4 degrees Celsius, respectively.
There was marginal fluctuation in the maximum temperature and Una was the hottest in day with a high of 36.5 degrees Celsius, while Kangra and sundernagar recorded a maximum of 32 degrees and 31 degrees, followed by Bhuntar 30.4, Dharamsala 29.2, Nahan 28.2, Solan 26.5, Shimla and Manali 22.6, and Kalpa 20.4 degrees Celsius.
The Local MeT department has predicted rains and thunder showers in low and mid hills and snow and thundershowers in higher hills for the next four days.
