In a case filed at the Kwarsi Police Station in the city today, Faizan Ahmad Khan of AMU alleged that Muslim Tour and Travel Agency of Ahmadabad from whom he had purchased three return tickets for Haj pilgrimage, was a "bogus" agency.
Faizan alleged that after he discovered that his return ticket were bogus, he approached the agency in Saudi Arabia but instead of "addressing my problem I was threatened that I would face dire consequences if I tried to expose this racket".
He said that he could return only when he managed to borrow money from his acquaintances there for his return ticket.
The Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Mordia has referred his complaint to the special investigations cell of the state police.
