Hand grenade placed at brick kiln

A hand grenade was placed by some unidentified persons at a brick kiln at Patpan village in Thoubal district today, the police said.
The motive behind keeping the hand grenade at the brick kiln was to obtain extortion amount by a militant outfit for their party fund, the police said.
The hand grenade was disposed off in a safe place by the bomb squad of the police, the police said.
