'Hannah Montana' caused body dysmorphia in me: Miley Cyrus

Pop star Miley Cyrus says her titular character on popular Disney show "Hannah Montana" was in complete contrast to what she was in real life and by the end of four seasons, she developed "body dysmorphia".
The disorder is a type of chronic mental illness in which one cannot stop thinking about a flaw in his or her appearance.
The 22-year-old "When I Look At You" hitmaker felt she was made to look like someone she was not throughout her time on the hit series, reported E! Online.
"From the time I was 11 it was, 'You're a pop star! That means you have to be blonde, and you have to have long hair, and you have to put on some glittery tight thing. Meanwhile, I'm this fragile little girl playing a 16-year-old in a wig and a ton of makeup. It was like Toddlers & Tiaras...."

"(It) probably caused some body dysmorphia because I had been made pretty every day for so long, and then when I wasn't on that show, it was like, 'Who am I?'"
The musical-comedy series followed the day-to-day life of Cyrus, her brother and friends while also starring her country singer father Billy Ray Cyrus as her dad.
