Khattar made this exhortation while delivering his key note address as chief guest at the concluding function of the 6-day golden jubilee programme of the Kishan Lal Public College here today.
He said at the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi all 90 MLAs of the state legislative assembly, all 15 MPs (Members of parliament as well as Rajya Sabha) had adopted one village each and several dignitaries like yog guru Swami Ram Dev, Satpal Maharaj, Subhash Chandra of Zee News and industrialist Rudra Sen Arya had come forward for the crucial task.
Following the Chief Minister's exhortation, the Management of the KLP College took upon the responsibility of developing two villages of the Rewari region into model villages as well.
Specifically mentioning about Taxila and Nalanda universities where students from various parts of the world received education in days of yore, the CM showered accolades on private educational institutions which were doing excellent work in the sphere of quality education in present times in contrast to government educational institutions.
He went on to say that over one lakh alumni of these educational institutions had now been working quite satisfactorily in various parts of the country whereas he announced a financial assistance of Rs 21 lakh for the KLP College and also sanctioned 11 more posts of teachers raising thereby the number of sanctioned posts of teachers in the college from 69 to 80.
