On the direction of the State Health Minister Anil Vij, a special audit will be considered within three months to investigate the last one decade of 'fundings' of three Government Medical Colleges in the state -- PGIMS in Rohtak, Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Medical College in Mewat and BPS Government Medical College for Women in Sonepat, an official release said here.
Vij has directed Additional Chief Secretary, Medical Education and Research Department to request Principal Accountant General of Haryana to conduct the investigation.
Vij has directed the Additional Chief Secretary to submit the findings by Principal Accountant General for action in accordance with law or relevant rules to the government.
The Additional Chief Secretary has been asked to provide year-wise details of expenditure incurred from or out of government funds within 15 days in respect to last ten years for correct evaluation, he said.
He said that many complaints have been received about these medical colleges from parts of the state.
