Har govt to prepare blueprint to deal with traffic problems

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said a blueprint would be prepared to deal with traffic problems in nine cities of the state having municipal corporations.
Khattar, who was presiding over a meeting with district officials at Mini Secretariat here, said the government's priority is to provide a transparent governance to people.
He said Gurgaon generates the maximum revenue in the state, but there is a huge gap between the rich and the poor in a city like Gurgaon which needs to be bridged.
Saying revenue and taxes would be charged from the upper strata of the society to provide the facilities to the lower strata, he directed officials to realise their duties to deal with the stark differences prevalent in the society.
Later, addressing a public meeting while attending their grievances, he said a lot needs to be done, especially in the field of education, in Gurgaon.
He said that Rs 10 crore has been sanctioned for constructing new rooms and other building parts of three government colleges -- Government College of Sector 14, DSD Government College and Government College of Sector-9.

Two new colleges one each at Manesar and Gamroj have been approved, Khattar said, adding that Jatouli college at Pataudi also needs repair and equipments, for which the government would provide funds of Rs five crore.
He said the Primary Health Center of Badshahpur village will be upgraded to Community Health Center, for which Rs five crore has been approved.
Addressing the gathering, he said a provision of zero FIR has been made which means that a person can lodge FIR at any of the police stations irrespective of jurisdiction.
Afterwards the FIR would be forwarded to the police station in whose area the incident has happened.
