Aiming to create better co-ordination with the Centre, the Haryana Police Database Centre will soon be linked with Delhi's National Police Database Centre, a senior police official said today.
"It would create better co-ordination between the states and the Centre and would help in speedy investigations," Shatrujeet Kapur, IG, Hisar Range, who is also the Nodal Officer of Haryana Police IT Network, told reporters today.
The state government has already sanctioned Rs 53 crores for the upgradation of the IT Network, he said adding that an approval to set up Regional Forensic Laboratories for five districts of the Hisar range has also been granted.
"Within one year, all the police stations will be inter-connected via online. The IT software is being tested and it will likely be finalised by next month," he added.
