Har police move court for arrest warrant against Hooda aide

Haryana Police today moved a court in Rohtak to secure an arrest warrant against former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda's aide, who faces sedition charges following his alleged involvement in provoking people during Jat quota agitation.
Virender Singh, a political advisor of Hooda, was allegedly shown in a phone conversation with one of his aides Maan Singh Dalal directing him to incite arsonists in Bahadurgarh area in Jhajjar district.
After the conversation went viral on social media on February 21, Rohtak police booked Singh and Dalal under relevant IPC sections of sedition charges.
"Phone conversation between them was enough to book these two under sedition charges. We had asked them to join in the investigation by February 28 but Singh did not respond to our calls and hence we have filed an application before local court to get arrest warrant against him," SP Rohtak Shashank Anand said.

PRO of Rohtak Police said Dalal's counsel, however, has assured local police that he would join in the probe in next couple of days.
Sources said that local police has collected call details of Singh and Dalal and it could also arrest people who were frequently interacting with these two during the violence in Rohtak and Jhajjar.
