Indian Grandmaster Dronavalli Harika eked out a hard-fought draw against World No. 2 Ju Wenjun of China in the FIDE World Women's Grand Prix here today.
The draw took Harika's tally to 2.5 points and helped her to continue to remain at the top in the high-profile tournament.
The other Indian in the fray, Grandmaster Koneru Humpy, too, won her game against Russia's Olga Girya to join Harika in pole position.
In the game between Harika and Wenjun, the two players agreed for truce after 78 moves each.
"Both of us missed some chances and made mistakes too. And there was no other option but to settle for a draw," Harika said.
The Indian girl next plays World No. 6 and two-time national champion of Ukraine, Mariya Muzychuk tomorrow.
