Harley-Davidson bikes exhaust notes and smashing performances by Pentagram and Digital Suicide resonated at the Guwahati Medical College Hall here last night rocking the youth of the city to its electronic beats.
The Harley-Davidson culture is as much about its unique style as the motorcycles themselves and music forms an integral part of it, Harley-Davidson (India) Managing Director Anoop Prakash said.
Given the brand's historic association with rock & roll and its legends, the company launched an annual music property - Harley Rock Riders in India in 2010 to bring together motorcycling and music like never before.
"This is the first time we introduced Harley Rock Riders in North East and are overwhelmed by the response from music enthusiasts. The biking culture is very strong in the North Eastern states and this gives us a strong pull to the region," he said.
Harley Davidson show here started on September 26 with the display of Harley-Davidson bikes at the Guwahati Medical College and this was followed by the musical extravaganza before it concluded with a boot camp for bike enthusiasts to experience the legendary bikes first hand through test rides. After its performance here, Harley Rock Riders will move to Shillong on October 6.
