A screenplay by J K Rowling, author of the Harry Potter books for 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them', an adventure film spin-off of the famous Potter series is set to be out in book form, publishers Little, Brown Book Group announced today.
The first-ever screenplay by Rowling is based on a new story by the author set in the United States, 70 years before the Harry Potter story begins and is centered around the character Newt Scamander, who is being played in the film by Academy award winning actor Eddie Redmayne.
Featuring an array of magical creatures and characters, the ebook and print editions of the screenplay is due to be published on November 19, the day after the film's global release by Warner Bros.
The ebook edition of the screenplay will be published by Pottermore, the global digital publisher of Rowling's Wizarding World, simultaneously with the print editions in collaboration with Little, Brown Book Group in the UK, and Scholastic in the US and Canada.
