"Many institutes in the country are doing good work and research but they all need to work in better coordination with each other so that the benefits of their work could reach common people and farmers to bring a positive change," the Union Minister for Science and Technology, who visited NBRI, ITRC and Birbal Sahni, said.
The minister said that a budget of Rs 100 crore will be spent on the renovation of the building of Birbal Sahni Institute in the Uttar Pradesh capital.
"We are providing information related to MeT like drought and rains to over one crore farmers through SMS and other such means," he added.
