With the title almost in his grasp and the fight being reduced to the runner-up spot, Harshath, armed with a 10-shot lead , began with back to back bogeys before making his sole birdie of the day on the third. Three bogeys on the last three holes of his front nine dented his score. On the back nine, Harshath put up a slightly better performance. However, three bogeys on the 13th, 16th and 18th set him back but nevertheless won easily.
"I am thrilled to win here," said the champion. "Although I had a sizeable lead, I did not take it easy. I just wanted to make pars but occasionally ended up with a bogey," said Harshath.
