Inviting investors to India, Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Badal said that food regulatory mechanism is moving from licensing to the registration regime, ensuring ease of doing business.
The government is committed to facilitating and encouraging investment in India into Food Processing Sector and providing an environment which is smooth, transparent and easy for investors wanting to start an enterprise in India, Badal said.
Delivering the key note address in the Food and Beverage Business Forum of the GulFood Conference 2016 in Dubai, Badal invited investors to invest in India in Mega Food Parks and Cold Chains and other food processing value chains, where ready infrastructure awaits them.

Tata AIG to launch women specific insurance plans next fiscal

Private sector non-life insurer, Tata AIG General Insurance is working on a number of health insurance products to be launched next fiscal, including some women specific products.
At present, the company offers more than 6 products under the health insurance segment which are divided into two series - medi and wellsurance.

The health insurance customer today are facing some distinctive challenges such as health inflation and inadequate coverage features being the primary concerns.
In its bid to address the issue, the company is working on benefit-based and women specific products.
Sebi, BSE employees observe Yoga day
* Employees of markets regulator Sebi and leading stock exchange BSE observed the International Yoga Day by performing Yoga exercises today.
Hundreds of employees of Sebi and BSE stretched themselves, at their respective headquarters, in various postures to mark the second International Yoga Day.
Besides, lakhs of people across India and abroad observed the event and Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the main event in Chandigarh performing asanas.

Google Cultural Institute App for android, ioS platforms
* Google today announced the launch of its new Google Cultural Institute App and website to help art lovers in India and across the globe explore works and artifacts from thousands of museums present in more than 70 countries.
"The app helps art lovers take a walk through these famous museums and artifacts from world," Google Cultural Institute Product Manager Duncan Osborn said in statement.
In the mobile application people can search for things like history of the Nalanda University, imagery of its excavation, browse by color and learn about change in Amrita Sher-Gil's palette through her journeys between India and Europe etc, the statement said.

* Users of healthcare app Practo can now book a cab using Ola app whenever they need to visit a doctor for healt check-up.
Practo and the taxi-aggregator have signed a nationwide partnership under which an user of the health app can book a cab through Ola whenever he/she needs to visit a doctor.

"Practo and Ola have partnered to provide seamless and stress-free healthcare experience for their customers. With Ola's integration on the Practo app, millions of consumers across India will now be able to book an Ola ca ahead of their doctor's appointments, directly from the Practo app," the companies said a in joint statement.
