HARTRON to give training to senior citizens, women
Press Trust of India Chandigarh The state-owned Haryana State Electronics Development Corporation (HARTRON) has decided to conduct subsidised training for senior citizens and women from economically weaker section at its approved workstations, a HARTRON spokesman said.
These special training programmes will be conducted in all districts of the state, for which interested and eligible persons can contact nearest HARTRON workstations to enrol themselves, he said.
HARTRON, a nodal agency for Haryana government is engaged in promotion of electronics and IT in the state.
At present, three months' training is being given to 4,200 girls or women in four batches on Basic Computer Fundamentals and Data Entry in all 21 districts and is expected to be completed by March, 2013.
Computer training of one year duration is being given in Ambala, Bhiwani, Rohtak, Rewari, Karnal and Hisar districts for up-gradation of typing and data entry skill of unemployed youth belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes.
