Reviewing the disaster management preparedness of the state during a meeting here, NDMA member Kamal Kishore also offered technical assistance to Haryana for state and district level disaster management, an official release said.
It was informed in the meeting that, 26 disaster management control rooms have been set up in the state and are linked with 29 police stations.
Earlier, the NDMA member and his team visited Panchkula and took stock of the disaster management preparedness there, the release stated.
Apart from this, fire fighting management should be made mandatory in these buildings, he added.

He was informed that while there is possibility of flooding in Kaithal and Sirsa districts due to Ghaggar river, Faridabad is prone to flood due to Yamuna river.
Haryana Institute of Public Administration (HIPA) has imparted training to 20,000 government officials in capacity building for disaster management, the official release stated.
Those present in the meeting included Haryana Chief Secretary D S Dhesi, Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue and Disaster Management Department Dalip Singh, Principal Secretary of Finance P K Das, and senior officers of Irrigation, Public Health Engineering and Animal Husbandry and Dairying.
