Haryana announces benefits of Rs 7,000 for cops

Haryana government today announced benefits of up to Rs 7,000 per month to police personnel of the rank of Constables to Inspectors.
Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said a risk allowance of Rs 5,000 and an interim relief of Rs 2,000 would be given to the Haryana Police personnel.
Consequently, all ranks of police from Constable to Inspector would be benefitted by Rs 7,000 per month, a spokesman of the Police Department said.
The financial implications of this would be 29.65 crore per month for the 42,361 police personnel posted currently in the ranks of Constables to Inspectors, he said.
The announcements would take effect from January 2014, and the net financial implications for the remaining period of the financial year 2013-14 would be Rs 59.30 crore, he said.
