Haryana approves incentives for women, employees

The Haryana Cabinet today approved a slew of incentives for various sections of the society, including women, employees and policemen.
A state cabinet meeting, presided over by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, here today approved 50 per cent concession in fee payable by women candidates to encourage them to join government jobs, an official spokesman said.
The meeting also approved Rs 2,000 per month as Interim Relief to Class III and IV employees. The relief would be paid from January, 2014 and would be payable till the implementation of the recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission set up by the Centre recently, he said.
The Haryana government adopts the recommendations of the Central pay commission. The Cabinet also approved Risk Allowance for police personnel of the ranks of constable to Inspector. The Risk Allowance of Rs 5,000 per month to each policemen would be paid from January, 2014, in addition to the Interim Relief payable to Class III and IV employees.
The Class III employees of the Prison Department would also get the Risk Allowance, the spokesman said.
The meeting also approved a reduction in the rate of water charges on community ponds and fishing ponds from Rs 300 per 2,500 cubic feet to Rs 40 per 2,500 cubic feet.
The Cabinet decided to constitute a three-member sub- committee to rationalise the rates of development charges levied on various beneficiaries for colony regularisation.

The sub-committee will also recommend the names of colonies to be regularised. The committee comprises Industries Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala, Education Minister Geeta Bhukkal and Urban Local Bodies Minister Savitri Jindal.
The meeting also approved the setting up of Haryana Medical Services Corporation Limited to procure and ensure a regular supply chain of quality drugs for all health institutions in the state.
The meeting also approved the upgradation of Tehsil Sampla as Sub-Division in district Rohtak.
The proposal of providing employment to Vijayant Malik, an outstanding Lawn Tennis player as Inspector of Police was also approved, the spokesman said.
