The BJP in Haryana on Friday firmed up its strategy for the Lok Sabha and Assembly polls next year and decided to actively publicise the welfare policies of the state and central governments.

The state unit of the BJP has decided to hold a mega rally at Karnal on November 1 to mark the completion of four years of the Manohar Lal Khattar government.

In the state executive meeting here, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, his ministerial colleagues, Union minister Krishan Pal Gujjar, senior leaders, including Anil Jain and Suresh Bhatt, were present.

Speaking to reporters after the first session of the meeting, which was held over the day in two-sessions, Khattar said party workers and leaders were asked to work actively towards publicising the welfare policies of the state and central governments so as to make people aware about their benefits.

"We will prepare a roadmap for the Lok Sabha and next Vidhan Sabha polls," said state BJP chief Subhash Barala.

To commemorate Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary in the state from October 2, 2018 onwards, Barala said 'padyatras' will be taken out throughout the state.
