Haryana CM, Governor extend Raksha Bandhan greetings

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar and Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki today wished people on the occasion of 'Raksha Bandhan' and urged them to take a pledge to protect women from all evils.
The state government has announced to set up women police stations in every district, as "a unique gift to women this festival".
Khattar celebrated the festival with traditional fervour at his residence, where large number of women, including the Brahma Kumaris (spiritual organisation) and children tied rakhi on his wrist.
Greeting them on this occasion, the Chief Minister described the auspicious festival as a "symbol of special bond between brothers and sisters."
He also wished them prosperity, good health and a brighter future.
Meanwhile, women and girls, from all walks of life and age-groups, tied rakhi on the wrist of the Governor at Raj Bhavan here. They wished him a long, healthy and prosperous life.
On the occasion, Singh urged the social organisations to help in creating such an atmosphere in the society, where women are worshiped.
